Season 6 - Episode 2

Trading Basketball Super Stars

Hot damn, US air space has never been this crowded shipping superstar after superstar to their new team. Last time I was wondering how slow trade markets can be, and boy have things turned around. Lebron, Kobe, Kidd, Howard, Kirilenko, Wade and so many more star players have got a new home, while all you trigger happy GM’s are working your butts off to improve your teams!

Real question goes - did you just do that? Or was it a step down?

You can trade for various reasons. To get a certain spot stronger, while you feel that u can give up at some other area. You can go after your own favorite player, and end up with a “shorter stick” on your own hand, but you’re still willing to do it, just to get that very special one. Or you can just get ‘em players traded cause of the fun factor, new faces and the actual trading process. These are all good reasons to trade, no question about it. But remember that every coin has the other side too. There are always GM’s that are just trying to get your star player for pocket full of scrubs. Oh yeah, they got their sweet talk, and their reasoning for that special trade - “only for you today my friend”. They try to hang on your leg until you say yes, just to get rid of them. And just after you have clicked that small confirm button on the trade section, you feel the heavy load on your mind “WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO?!”

Well, while this feeling takes the shit out of a man, and makes him wanna do another set of trades, often even more silly ones, you still weren’t punk’d or hoaxed, let alone cheated. In the end you are responsible on your own team. Once u made your pick at the very start of your season, you were standing at the GM spot, with the power and possible glory of your teams’ success. It is also the real spice of EuroSlam, teams are alive and under change constantly. It’s also great fun to see what kind’ a trades GM’s decide to do. Luckily most of them are balanced, even though few times Dirt-Fly has been left rolling his hundreds of eyes while thinking – WTF, what was that GM on…

Playoffs are getting closer, but most of you still have time to try to build your very own dream time, while you are on this noble deed of yours. Trade fair, PLAY BALL!

Season 6 - Episode 1

Stop the press! Drop the ball! Take that finger out of your nose! Dirt-Fly is back with the observations around Serie A. Liked it or not, any of you GM's together with your teams might get in the line of fire. Just keep your cool and keep your act clean and we'll get along just fine!

Let's start with the obvious. If any of you GM's actually are thinking to win the Euroslam Elite Series this year, you can stop your sweaty fantasies right now. Dirt-Fly has already spotted the sure winner of the season! There is a team amongst us that has played multiple games (unlike few of you and your excuses), AND this team is having a FG percentage well over 60! Yeah, u got that right, so why even bother playing against a team that can shoot like that?!? So, I therefore announce the win.. HOLD UP! What if this team isn't shooting the ball? What if we have a DUNKER amongst us? How could that be?!? Rules state: "We maintain a realism code to simulate an IN REAL LIFE game of NBA basketball. This means that it's not allowed to abuse the games' AI." Now I am just being a small brained fly, but even I can get the point and understand the fine line between realistic games and hanging in the rim with passion. Do your fast break dunks, make a few flashy facials with your dunkers - I know we all wanna be able to do that, but c'mon, keep it real and fun! Winning Euroslam can be achieved few different way. It is kinda like hitting a girl at a bar. U can get 'em drunk and poke the "dead fish" later on, or play the game and unleash the wild cat with a whole book of tricks and pleasure as your trophy! For some it is more important to be "the winner" no matter how that will be achieved...

Salaries are in and the all mighty G-Forza is about ready with the site. One thing that we are used to see on Euroslam is the trading game spinning like a roulette. By judging so far, it's been as exciting as most Van Damme movies, but of course GM's have been waiting for rules to be defined and clear for all. So, we now can count the days before 1st trades will hit the site and how much more than week it takes before Damnation has ripped another team apart with his continuous effort of making bad trades.

So after Mr. G's example I also now like to welcome all to another Euroslam season! Now remember that you are being watched and no one is safe! Happy New Year, HAPPY 2008! Now play fair, play ball!
